Trial Showcase
Four cities were named as winners of our Smart Cities Challenge. Follow the journey of each of our winners as they implement our Intelligent Intersections solution.
Frontier Metropolitan Planning Organization (Fort Smith), AR

Vision For Mobility
Fort Smith, the Frontier Metropolitan Planning Organization, and the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT) understand that improving mobility through advanced technologies will bring the community and region together. Comprehensive data will give the city’s traffic engineers the ability to measure, document, and analyze events, which in turn leads to faster, more effective actions that provide economically sound solutions. Utilizing our Intelligent Intersections solution, the city will aim to streamline traffic flow, pinpoint areas where traffic-related injuries and fatalities are most likely to occur, and more effectively invest tax revenues.
Austin, TX

Vision For Mobility
The City of Austin adopted the Austin Strategic Mobility Plan (ASMP) in April 2019, to enhance the mobility and connectivity of the city’s transportation networks. Envisioning a city that reduces commute times, promotes economic growth, and lowers the cost of traveling in Austin, city mobility leaders are looking to set an example of forward-looking mobility for the United States. Piloting technologies that allow the harnessing of data, and then using that data to improve efficiency of the transportation network, is key to achieving the city’s mobility vision.
Walnut Creek, CA
The City of Walnut Creek is a cultural, commercial, and employment center for Contra Costa County in the East Bay and San Francisco Bay Area. A major transportation hub and regional retail destination with a vibrant downtown setting, residents, employees, and visitors need smarter transportation options to better take advantage of the many amenities Walnut Creek has to offer.
